UMMC GME Mission Statement:
To ensure that UMMC's GME trainees are equipped today to practice in tomorrow's healthcare environment by providing high quality, equitable patient care and supporting growth in scientific knowledge, problem-solving, knowledge application, an understanding of people and responsibility for resources, while leading in service.
The Office of Graduate Medical Education provides a range of support services and access to resources for residents and fellows, including the following:
- Compliance with accrediting body requirements (educational and environmental)
- Ombudsman in responding to house staff concerns
- New resident and fellow orientation
- Administrative support for the House Staff Association
- TRAINING VERIFICATION is completed by Medical Staff Services
