Activities Objectives #1 & #2: 
  1. Identify educational gaps at both UMMC and UMSON
  2. Prepare for transition of APRN education to DNP at UMSON
  3. Develop fellowship/residency program for NP graduates supported by UMMC/UMSON

  1. Develop plan for integrating CRNA students into precepted positions and identify strong group of CRNA preceptors
  2. Include all new graduate nurses (masters and doctorate) in plans to facilitate transition to professional roles
  3. Incorporate student final clinical placement with prospective unit employment

  1. Identify and support resource-strapped specialty areas with educational efforts in conjunctions with the UMSON
  2. Combine efforts to address health care reform impact on partnership
  3. Develop improved communication and feedback mechanism between UMMC and UMSON regarding student performance
  4. Extend faculty practice opportunities
  5. Challenge UMMC APRNs to offer practice expertise to UMSON with teaching opportunity
  6. Develop systematic plan for tracking all DNP independent studies, projects and posting on UM Nursing website

  5. Create Professional Advancement process
