A little about myself. . .
I was born in San Diego, CA, but moved to Indiana when I was 2 years old. I grew up in Terre Haute, an hour southwest of Indianapolis. Growing up in Indiana, I am obsessed with basketball, playing and watching it whenever I have the chance. I also love to watch and play soccer, and am a football and baseball fan as well. In my spare time here in Baltimore, I hope to catch as many Orioles & Ravens games as possible.
For college I went to Olivet Nazarene University, which is an hour south of Chicago. I was a pre-med who majored in biology.
I am excited to venture out of the Midwest for residency. I really liked how the University of Maryland Medical Center was right in the heart of downtown Baltimore, within walking distance of the Inner Harbor. Baltimore seemed to me like a city with so much culture. In terms of the residency program, I was very impressed during my interview with the program's leadership and how invested they seemed in their residents.
So far, it has been great bonding with my new co-residents, as they're all fantastic people. And the staff has also been so welcoming and friendly. I am beyond excited for the next three years of training!
