A little about myself. . .
I hail from the greatest census-designated place in the country: McLean, Virginia – just outside D.C. I grew up loving sports, and as a child I attended the last Baltimore Orioles game with Cal Ripken Jr. in second place behind Lou Gehrig for most consecutive games played. I successfully made it out of childhood and headed out to Brigham Young University in Provo, UT. I grew fond of the outdoors and the National Parks while escaping studying biochemistry there. In the middle of my studies I did a two-year mission in Italy, and as long as you don’t speak enough Italian to call me on it, yes, I do speak it fluently. As a native son I was called back to Virginia and attended Mr. Jefferson’s University of Virginia in the School of Medicine.
While in Charlottesville, I came to realize what I really knew all along: I was meant to be a pediatrician. Working with children and their families is a dream come true. My wife and I have no children of our own, but thankfully my two (impossibly adorable) nieces are very adept with Snapchat and keep us entertained from Atlanta. We are excited to be in Maryland, and we feel right at home with the University of Maryland Pediatrics community!
