University of Maryland Medical Center rehabilitation services offer inpatient and outpatient settings to guide you through the next level of recovery for your surgery, injury or disease.

Our therapists are dedicated to maximizing each patient's functional potential, working with patients from birth through adulthood.

Outpatient Rehabilitation

We offer outpatient rehabilitation services at the University of Maryland Medical Center in downtown Baltimore.

Treatment programs include physical therapy, occupational therapyspeech language pathology and pediatric rehabilitation. Pain management for any injury is also included in outpatient rehabilitation.

Inpatient Rehabilitation

Our therapists also help care for patients who have longer stays at UMMC.

UMMC is the only hospital system in the state that has physical therapists in the emergency department. This dedicated service provides intervention and support to decrease our patients' length of stay.

Our team also supports the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, which provides care for the smallest and most critically ill babies, and the University of Maryland Greenebaum Comprehensive Cancer Center
