Cancer of the prostate is also a common and serious health concern. This year, according to the American Cancer Society, 179,300 men in the United States will be diagnosed with prostate cancer. It is the most common form of cancer of men over age 50 -- and the second leading cancer killer (lung cancer being first). In fact, if you're a man, chances are you will encounter some type of prostate problem in your lifetime.
What can you do to protect yourself?
Catch prostate problems early, when there's a better chance of successful treatment. Be sure to have prostate screening examinations annually at the appropriate ages.
