A Member of the University of Maryland Medical System | In Partnership with the University of Maryland School of Medicine
I'm pleased to introduce our Residency Training Program to you. It is an exciting program, geared toward providing the most comprehensive experience possible for our residents.
We pride ourselves on offering a balanced training approach. Here you will have ample exposure to psychotherapy and psychopharmacology, opportunities to work with world-class researchers, and training in all modalities that you may be called upon to practice.
The program is based at the University of Maryland Medical System and at the Sheppard and Enoch Pratt Hospital. The training program is part of the historic "Maryland Plan," a collaboration between the State of Maryland and the University. The University of Maryland Medical System is a private, nonprofit medical center, affiliated with the University of Maryland School of Medicine.
Sheppard Pratt Hospital, one of the first private psychiatric hospitals in the United States, is ranked among the top ten psychiatric treatment systems nationally. In addition, we have affiliations with many other area facilities to provide both residents and fellows with a diverse selection of training opportunities.
I encourage you to visit us and discover firsthand the variety our residency training program offers.
I look forward to meeting you.
