UM/Sheppard Pratt Psychiatry Residency Program
Didactic Curriculum
Overview:
In addition to rotation specific lectures and case conferences, residents participate
in a weekly PGY specific didactic curriculum.
- PGY1 didactics for residents on psychiatry rotations are on Thursdays
from 8:30am to 2:50pm. Residents participate in the internal Medicine and
neurology didactic curriculums while assigned to these rotations.
- PGY2 didactics are on Thursdays from 10:45am to 5:30PM.
- PGY3 didactics are on Thursdays from 9:00am-4:50pm.
- PGY4 didactics are on Thursdays from 1:00pm to 5:20pm.
- Included in the didactic schedule is Departmental Grand Rounds on
Thursdays from 12pm-1pm in the BVAMC auditorium.
- The 2:00pm-2:50pm time slot is reserved for a series of didactic electives
from September through June.
- All residents are invited to the weekly Thursday 1pm resident lunch.
- Didactics occur either at the University of Maryland or Sheppard-Pratt
campuses depending on PGY class and time of year.
