The University of Maryland Medical Center regularly conducts surveys of its patients and families to find out how we can improve our care and service. Each month, a research company, Healthstream Research, contacts randomly selected patients to find out how they felt about their recent UMMC stay or visit.
The graphs below illustrate how patients have rated their overall satisfaction with the care and service they received at UMMC.
Overall Satisfaction
The pie chart below shows the percentage of UMMC patients who ranked our care and service as "excellent" for the months of July to September 2011. Patients were asked to rate their overall satisfaction on a scale of 0 to 10 with 10 being the highest possible score.
Scores were classified in the following manner:
Likelihood to Recommend
The pie chart below shows the percentage of UMMC patients who said their likelihood of recommending UMMC to others was "Definitely Yes" for the months of July to September 2011. Patients were asked to rate their likelihood of recommending UMMC on a scale of 1 to 4 with 4 being the highest possible score.
Scores were classified in the following manner:
