Safe Kids Baltimore

Safe Kids Day

Every May, the volunteers for Safe Kids Baltimore celebrate Safe Kids Week by putting on a day of interactive learning about safety for students at a Baltimore City elementary school. This year, students step outside the classroom for a fun, yet education, experience on pedestrian safety, bike safety, passenger safety, swimming safety, fire safety and poison prevention.

In addition to walking away with new safety knowledge, each child is given a helmet to ensure that they are safe when riding bikes and scooters. The kids can thank a generous contribution from the Maryland Trial Lawyers Association for their helmets! The MTLA has donated helmets for this annual event at different schools since 2000.
