Trauma Surgical Critical Care Fellowship

As a statewide educational resource, the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center accumulates a tremendous wealth of clinical and research experience in the treatment of traumatic injury. The expertise of the clinical staff is recognized annually by numerous clinical and research studies that are accepted for presentation at multi-specialty societal meetings and publication in peer-reviewed journals and books.

The Shock Trauma Center is Maryland's principal trauma and critical care teaching site for physicians, nurses, prehospital providers and allied health professionals. As a world leader in trauma and critical care education, Shock Trauma also shares its clinical and research experience with caregivers internationally.

Specialized certification programs, such as Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) and Advanced Trauma Operative Management (ATOM) are offered on an ongoing basis at the Shock Trauma Center. Several continuing education courses and conferences are also offered.
