WALK like MADD®, is the signature walk event for Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD). In 2011, in almost 40 cities throughout the country, thousands of people will participate in this 5K walk to celebrate creating a future without underage drinking and drunk driving.
Please join the University of Maryland R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in its effort to support MADD by walking with its team on Saturday, May 7, 2011. The walk will be held in Federal Hill Park overlooking the Inner Harbor. Check-in and activities begin at 8:30 a.m. There will also be a Community Health & Safety Fair held in conjunction with the walk.
All funds raised during WALK Like MADD® will benefit MADD and the unique support services it offers free-of-charge to the victims and survivors of drunk driving crashes throughout Maryland.
To register for the walk, please visit the Walk Like MADD® Web site. Select "Baltimore" from the list of cities, and follow the prompts. There is a $20 registration fee, which is applied to your personal and team goal. All registered walkers will receive a WALK Like MADD® t-Shirt.
