Honorable Mention – STC Program Wins Best Practice and Poster Award

The Center for Injury Prevention and Policy (CIPP) at R Adam Cowley Shock Trauma Center (STC) in collaboration with the Trauma Prevention Nursing Council attended the 15th Annual Conference of Trauma Center Association of America in Charleston, SC on October 23rd-26th.

Ruth Adeola RN, MS, Injury Prevention Program Coordinator and Alyson Schuster, BA, BSN, RN, SCN1 chair of the Trauma Prevention Nursing Council participated in a poster presentation for a “Best Practice” unique to the trauma center. Ruth Adeola and Alyson Schuster submitted a poster on the prevention programs at STC titled “R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center Hospital-Based Prevention Program”. The poster highlighted all the prevention programs provided at STC through the CIPP. The poster was voted “Best Practice and Poster Winner” from the thirty five entrees submitted at the conference.
