Sending Flowers or a Card?

Flowers, Fruit Baskets and Cards

To reduce the risk of infection, live flowers and fruit baskets are not permitted on all patient care units.

Include the patient's name and room number on the envelope of any card you send

Gift Shop

The University of Maryland Medical Center's gift shop offers a variety of gifts, magazines and flowers, as well as candy, soda and snacks. It's open 9 a.m.- 8 p.m. every day. For more information, call the gift shop at 410-328-9913.

There is an M&T bank and ATM in the Medical Center (1st floor, Atrium). There is also a Bank of America ATM in the Medical Center (1st floor between the North and South Hospital).

Smoking

Smoking is not allowed inside the Medical Center. An enclosed smoking shelter is located outside the hospital near the Subway and Mamma Ilardo's Pizzeria restaurants. A guest services representative can give you directions.
