Skin Cancer is the most common cancer in the United States, and usually occurs in fair-skinned individuals who have been exposed to the sun, x-rays, or ultraviolet (UV) light for prolonged periods.

Skin cancers affect approximately 600,000 Caucasians every year.

BoyThe principal cause of skin cancer -- almost universally accepted by medical experts -- is overexposure to sunlight, especially when it results in sunburn and blistering.

Avoiding sun overexposure is the best defense against skin cancer. And, catching problems early, provides a better chance for successful treatment.
