Primary Care - Sports Medicine Fellowship

There is a great opportunity for hands-on involvement at all levels for the University Sports Medicine fellow

University of Maryland Sports Medicine offers a comprehensive fellowship for interested applicants.

This fellowship involves experiences at:

The fellowship is centered around office, training room and operating room evaluation and management of athletic injuries. Laboratory facilities are utilized at the downtown University of Maryland campus and Union Memorial Hospital.

Our fellows are instrumental in team coverage of athletic programs at:

Research and educational opportunities are abundant through a series of formal and informal teaching conferences and laboratory experiences.

This fellowship program was started in 1997. It was granted full accreditation by the Residency Review Committee for Family Practice of the ACGME in 1998. Physicians completing this fellowship are eligible to sit for the Certificate of Added Qualification in Sports Medicine examination.
