The stroke unit is dedicated to providing inpatient rehabilitation services by healthcare professionals who specialize in the treatment of stroke.
Some people who experience a stroke are left with varying degrees of disability despite the best intervention. The Maryland Brain Attack Center offers comprehensive rehabilitation under the direction of rehabilitation medicine physicians at Kernan Hospital. Our rehabilitation team coordinates its care through University Post-Acute Care Services to help patient's recovery from a stroke as fast and as complete as possible.
