The University of Maryland Medical Center has one of the largest general thoracic surgery programs in the country. Our program offers surgical management of benign and malignant diseases of the chest (thoracic). We also offer multidisciplinary evaluations for most of the diseases we treat. Our physicians are experts in minimally invasive surgery for the lung, esophagus, thymus and other areas of the chest.
