Meet Our Physical Therapists

Jeremy Alter, P.T., C.S.C.S.

Jeremy joined our team in June 2005. Jeremy received his BS Degree in Physical Therapy from NYU in 1999. He became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist from NSCA in 2004. Recently he recently received his certification in the Neil Asher technique for frozen shoulders. He is currently enrolled in the Doctor of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He is the head physical therapist with our Sports Acceleration Program. Jeremy has a special interest in treating all musculoskeletal conditions of the extremities.


Tamara Irby, M.S.P.T.

Tammy began her career with Kernan Physical Therapy as a PT technician. She received her Bachelors Degree in Sports Medicine from the University of Virginia, and her Masters of Science in Physical Therapy from the Medical College of Virginia. She has practiced orthopedics since 2002 and recently became certified to teach Pilates. She is currently developing the yoga and Pilates program at KPT Timonium.


Natalia Jones, M.P.T.

Natalia received her Masters in Physical Therapy from the University of Maryland School of Medicine. She has been practicing in outpatient orthopedics since 1998, and has special interests in manual therapy, musculoskeletal conditions of the spine and vestibular rehabilitation. In addition she has strong background in competitive figure skating and ballet and specializes in the rehabilitation of this population. She is currently pursuing certification in kinesiotaping.


Carrie Krug, D.P.T.

Carrie received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Duke University of Medicine in 2005 and joined Kernan Physical Therapy in 2006. She has an interest in Sports Medicine Rehabilitation and Women's Health Issues.


Pedro Navarro, P.T.

Pete began his career in physical therapy in the United States Air Force in 1988. He graduated as an Academic Scholar from Fatima University in the Philippines in 2001 and joined our organization as a physical therapy technician prior to becoming a staff physical therapist. He has a special interest in treating nerve injuries and is skilled with neural gliding techniques.


Kelly Hurstis Parent, M.P.T., C.L.T.

Kelly has been with the University of Maryland since 2002, and joined Kernan Physical Therapy in 2006. She received her Masters of Physical Therapy form the University of Scranton in 2002. She became a Certified Lymphedema Therapist in 2005. She specializes in Women's Health issues.


Regina Shelley, M.P.T.

Gina received her Bachelors of Science degree in Exercise Sport and Science, with an emphasis in Athletic Training from Towson She received her Masters of Physical Therapy from the University of Maryland Baltimore School of Medicine. She has worked in outpatient orthopaedics since 2001.
