Kernan Physical Therapy at Timonium is a Medicare-certified, state-of-the-art, freestanding outpatient sports medicine and rehabilitation center, wholly owned by Kernan Hospital, one of the area's leading orthopaedic and rehabilitation hospitals, and affiliated with University of Maryland Medical System. The Center is conveniently located in Timonium (Baltimore County) and opened in 2001.

Kernan Physical Therapy at Timonium is one of the best equipped outpatient and rehabilitation sports medicine centers in the metropolitan Baltimore area. The Center is staffed by an experienced team of licensed physical therapists, occupational therapists, athletic trainers and exercise specialists who use advanced techniques and equipment to treat, rehabilitate and prevent orthopaedic and sports-related injuries.

Kernan Physical Therapy at Timonium -- certified by Medicare as a Rehabilitation Agency -- provides fitness, wellness and physical therapy services to professional, scholastic, recreational and amateur athletes. In conjunction with other Kernan Physical Therapy sites around the Baltimore metropolitan area, Kernan Physical Therapy at Timonium has affiliations to provide Certified Athletic Trainers to many area high schools.

Kernan Physical Therapy's team approach ensures quality care throughout the treatment and recovery period.

After evaluating a patient's injury, the Kernan Physical Therapy team works closely with the referring physician to design a rehabilitation program to meet the patient's needs. The patient's progress is reported to the referring physician during all stages of rehabilitation. The length of the program depends on the type and extent of the injury.

We are open 6 days a week, 7:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 6:30-4:30 on Saturdays. We participate with most major insurances.
