Recurrent Autoimmunity in Islet Transplants

• Evidence is overwhelming that in absence of immunosuppression, recurrent disease is very rapid

• Our work in NOD mouse suggests recurrent disease can be overcome with CD4 T cell chimerism from NOR donor
