Our team has the necessary combination of management experience and in utero surgical expertise to offer you the most advanced options for TTTS. Individual assessment is critical, but even more important is decision making centered on your family's individual needs. Many of our successes involve highly individualized approaches - we encourage your input at every step.
When you come to the Center for Advanced Fetal Care, a detailed ultrasound with physical examination, biometry and circulatory and placental Doppler assessments will all be performed. This complex ultrasound scan may take up to 90 minutes! You will meet with the fetal surgeon to review your own unique situation. We will spend as much time as it takes so you understand your babies' condition, the need for treatment and the most appropriate treatment choice for your family.
We will help your physician organize your referral, coordinate with your insurance company and work to make your visit to the University of Maryland as efficient and effective as it can be under these very challenging circumstances.
