William
R. Flinn, M.D.
Professor of Surgery and Division Chief
Dr. Flinn completed his Vascular Surgery training at Northwestern University,
Chicago, Illinois. He accepted the position of Chief of the Division of Vascular
Surgery at the University of Maryland in 1993. He developed the residency training
program in Vascular Surgery at the University of Maryland and currently serves
as its program director. He has directed the development of the Maryland Vascular
Center at UMMS.
Marshall
E. Benjamin, M.D.
Assistant Professor of Surgery
Dr. Benjamin completed his Vascular Surgery training at the Bowman Gray School
of Medicine of Wake Forest University. Dr. Benjamin has expanded the program
experience with renal artery revascularization and endovascular grafting for
aortic aneurysms at our institution. Dr. Benjamin is an RVT and serves as Medical
Director of the Vascular Laboratory at the University of Maryland Hospital.
Michael A. Curi,
M.D., M.P.A.
Assistant Professor of Surgery
Dr. Curi received his medical degree from the New Jersey Medical School. He
went on to complete his general surgery residency at The University of Chicago,
and a vascular & endovascular surgery fellowship at Washington University, where
he trained with Dr. Juan Parodi, the inventor of the aortic stent graft. His
interests are in complex and innovative endovascular therapies for aortic aneurysmal
and peripheral vascular disease.
Michael
P. Lilly, M.D.
Associate Professor of Surgery
Dr. Lilly completed his Vascular Surgery training at Northwestern University
in Chicago. He has been a faculty member of the University of Maryland since
1989. Dr. Lilly has developed the basic science research program in our Division.
He is Medical Director of the Vascular Laboratory at the Baltimore VA Medical
Center.
David
G. Neschis, M.D.
Assistant Professor of Surgery
Dr. Neschis completed his Vascular Surgery training at the Hospital of the University
of Pennsylvania. During his training there he had extensive experience with
endovascular interventions, particularly endovascular grafting for aortic aneurysms.
His experience will greatly assist us in the expansion of our endograft program.
Clinical Faculty
Luis A. Queral, M.D.
Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery
Dr. Queral completed his Vascular Surgery training at Northwestern University.
He is Director of the Mercy Vascular Center. He has been one of the leaders
in the application of endovascular interventions in clinical vascular surgery.
