Vascular Surgery - Residency Training Program
Application Procedures
Requirements:
- Excellent Health
- Satisfactory completion of an accredited residency training program in General
Surgery.
- Eligibility to sit for the qualifying examination in General Surgery administered
by the American Board of Surgery
- Completion of the application and interview process
Time table:
- Requests for Information: 2 years prior to start of fellowship training
- Submission of Applications: In the Fall approximately 18-20 months
prior to the start of fellowship.
- Letters of Reference: Two letters of reference are a required component
of the application and others are encouraged.
- Interview: All application materials must be completed prior to scheduling
an interview. Interviews will be held the Winter 15-18 months prior to the
start of fellowship
- Selection: The Division of Vascular Surgery participates in the National
Intern and Resident Matching Program (NIRMP). Match lists are usually submitted
in April approximately one year prior to the start of fellowship
