Minimally Invasive Surgery

Overview:
More surgical procedures can be now performed be performed minimally invasively, also know as laparoscopically, meaning the surgeon uses smaller incisions and the recovery time is usually faster for the patient. In this video podcast, Dr. Patricia Turner discusses the evolution of minimally invasive surgery as well as what kinds of conditions can be treated in this way. She also talks about surgical treatments for problems in the endocrine system.
