Overview:
Influenza expert Wilbur Chen, who is an assistant professor of medicine at the UM School of Medicine, answers frequently asked questions on the H1N1 or swine flu. Dr. Chen explains H1N1 flu, the common symptoms and treatments, how it's transmitted, how long it takes for symptoms to appear, whether it's OK to eat pork and common misconceptions. He also addresses swine flu testing, when to see your doctor, the difference between an epidemic vs. a pandemic and why swine flu may spike again in the fall and winter.
