
Imaging services at the University of Maryland feature state-of-the-art equipment and provide diagnostic procedures through digital mammography, X-ray, computerized tomography (CT), ultrasound, MRI and nuclear medicine.
Procedures are conducted by technologists registered in radiologic technology or nuclear medicine. Some technologists have specialized training in CT scanning, ultrasound or MRI.
Once a study has been completed, a radiologist interprets the exam and consults with your physician.
