Dr. Blanchard is an assistant professor of obstetrics, gynecology and reproductive sciences and is director of General Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. She received her medical degree and served her residency at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Blanchard became board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in January 2003.

The healthy mother-to-be and baby receive prenatal care and delivery in our comfortable, attractive birthing rooms that are staffed by obstetric anesthesiologists 24 hours a day. You can give birth in a private labor/postpartum suite, a home-like atmosphere, where you stay from the time your labor begins until you and your new baby are ready to leave the hospital.
We also provide assistance for a range of other gynecologic problems facing women. The Urogynecology (urinary incontinence) Program features complete diagnostic evaluation with the most advanced technologies and offers a variety of treatments ranging from exercise and diet to surgery.
Through our Midwifery Program, you can receive routine gynecologic care from adolescence through menopause from specially trained midwives, who have extensive teaching experience and practical expertise.
