Jennifer Fahey,
C.N.M., M.S., M.P.H.
Jennifer Fahey is an assistant professor in the division of general obstetrics
and gynecology. She received her bachelor of arts degree from the University
of Texas at Austin, her master's of public health from Harvard University and
her master's of science in nursing/nurse-midwifery from the Yale University
School of Nursing. Prior to joining the practice, she gained experience at the
Fair Haven Community Health Center in New Haven, Conn. She was board certified
by the ACNM Certification Council in 2000. She is the author of Varney's
Study Guide.
Melinda Fowler, M.S.N., C.N.M.
Melinda Fowler is an instructor in the division of general obstetrics and gynecology.
She earned a master's in
nursing from Georgetown University, with a certificate in midwifery. Melinda
spent 14 years working in labor and delivery before becoming a midwife. A board
certified nurse midwife, Melinda's areas of special interest include natural
childbirth, HIV care for women and alternative therapies.
Jan Kriebs, C.N.M.,
M.S.N., F.A.C.N.M.
Jan Kriebs received her bachelor's degree from the University of Tennessee and
her master's degree in nursing in maternal newborn/nurse midwifery from Yale
University. She is currently an assistant professor in obstetrics, gynecology
and reproductive sciences at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and
serves on the clinical faculty of the University of Maryland Nurse Midwifery
Education Program. She has served as a nurse-midwife for Boston City Hospital
and directed the midwifery service at Group Health Association. In addition,
she is a fellow of the American College of Nurse-Midwives and serves on the
Fellowship Board of Governors. She co-author of Varney's Midwifery, 4th edition
in 2003.
Jennifer Kaye, M.S.N.,
C.N.M.
Jennifer Kaye is an instructor in the Division of General Obstetrics, Gynecology
and Urogynecology.
She holds a master's degree in nursing from Case Western Reserve University and is certified with the American College of Nurse Midwives.
Courtney Marshall,
C.N.M., M.S.N.
Courtney Marshall is a faculty instructor in the Division
of General Obstetrics, Gynecology and Urogynecology. She revieved her master's degree in nursing and is a certified nurse-midwife from Yale University's School of Nursing.
Katherine O'Brien,
C.N.M., M.S.N.
Katherine O'Brien is a faculty instructor in the Division of General Obstetrics
and Gynecology while also providing
full scope midwifery care in the practice. She earned a bachelor's of science
in nursing from the University of Delaware and a master's of science in nurse
midwifery from Georgetown University. In addition to being a certified nurse-midwife,
she is a certified childbirth educator and strongly believes in patient education.
Prior to her midwifery training she served as an experienced labor and delivery
nurse and coordinator of the Stork's Nest Prenatal Program. Her professional
interests include breastfeeding promotion, natural childbirth, and reducing
health disparities.
Kelley N. Robinson, C.N.M.
Kelley Robinson is an instructor in the Division of General Obstetrics, Gynecology
and Reproductive Sciences. She received her nursing degree from Yale University
School of Medicine and is certified with the American College of Nurse Midwives.
Carol
A. Snapp, C.N.M., D.N.Sc.
Carol Snapp is an instructor in the Division of General Obstetrics, Gynecology
and Reproductive Sciences. She received her nursing degree from the University
of Pennsylvania and her doctor of nursing science degree from Johns Hopkins
University. She is certified with the American College of Nurse Midwives.
Erin
Wright, C.N.M., M.S.N.
Erin Wright is a visiting instructor in the Division of General Obstetrics,
Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences. She holds a master's degree in nurse midwifery
from Georgetown University School of Nursing and Health Studies. Erin received
her board certification from the American Midwifery Certification Board. Her
areas of special interest include adolescent pregnancy and natural childbirth.
