
Hugh E. Mighty, M.D., M.B.A., was listed in "America's Leading Doctors" by Black Enterprise magazine (May, 2008). Dr. Mighty is chief of obstetrics/gynecology at the University of Maryland Medical Center and chair of the University of Maryland School of Medicine's department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences. Dr. Mighty is one of only a few doctors in the nation board certified in both maternal and fetal medicine and critical care medicine. The "America's Leading Doctors" list includes 140 top-rated African-American physicians and surgeons throughout the U.S. who are advancing medicine.
Physicians selected for the list are judged to be leaders in their respective fields, to be superior in service and reputation, and have been confirmed as being certified in accordance with the American Board of Medical Specialties. This year's list placed special emphasis on those who have been involved in medical breakthroughs across specialties.
