Through the Office of Physician Marketing, the University of Maryland Marlene and Stewart Greenebaum Comprehensive Cancer Center (UMGCCC) works closely with community physicians to provide the best possible care for patients. Whether you need to refer a patient, contact one of our doctors, look for information on clinical trials, or just keep up-to-date on recent developments in cancer treatment at UMGCCC, we are here to help. Our Physician Relations Associates maintain regular contact with community physicians within the state of Maryland.
Our consultation and referral line provides high quality service for transfers, referrals and consultation requests around the clock. Physicians have immediate access to a senior UMGCCC oncology attending physician, 24 hours-a-day, seven days-a-week.
UMGCCC uses a multidisciplinary approach to cancer care, where specialists in medical, surgical and radiation oncology work together as a team to provide the best care possible for each patient.
Clinical trials are research studies designed to find new and better ways to treat patients with cancer and other diseases.
The ExpressCare team ensures the efficient and timely transfer of clinical information among referring and accepting physicians and nurses in order to maintain an appropriate continuum of care.
