Elisabeth Losito, M.D.
Medical School: SUNY Upstate Medical University
A little about myself. . .
I have lived in Upstate New York my entire life. I was born and raised in Syracuse, NY and then ventured only an hour away to the Finger Lakes region to attend college at Hobart and William Smith Colleges in Geneva, NY (which is the in center of New York State wine country). At HWS I majored in biology and had two minors in studio art and public policy. I also played for the William Smith soccer program.
After college I returned home to attend medical school at SUNY Upstate Medical University (formerly Geneva Medical College which was located in Geneva, NY and owned by Hobart College). During medical school I met Rahul Gupta while volunteering at a peds clinic for the underserved, and we couples matched here at Maryland. Although I’m going to miss home, and especially my dog, I’m excited to be here because of all the great people at U of Maryland. As a bonus my sister is also in Baltimore for graduate school at Johns Hopkins.
Outside of medicine my interested include playing soccer (or pretty much any sports), partaking in anything to do with art from creating my own art (photography, drawing, painting, printmaking, etc) to going to art museums and festivals, spending time with family and friends, wine tasting, cooking and trying new foods.
