Caroline Bancroft, M.D.
Medical School: University of Massachusetts Medical School
A little about myself. . .
I am a true, blue New England girl, growing up in Massachusetts and Rhode Island with my older sister and two younger brothers. In love with the East Coast and my fall colors, I went to Providence College for undergrad, spent a year with City Year tutoring in a middle school in Providence, and then attended the University of Massachusetts in Worcester for medical school. Even before I settled on becoming a doctor, pediatrics was something that appealed to me. Once I started doing rotations in medical school? I learned that it made me literally whistle while I work. I'm wicked excited to see what comes next in my residency here in Maryland.
Outside of the hospital, I love to spend time with family and friends, whether hiking and white water rafting or playing board games and watching football (go Pats!) at home. Playing any sport is really on the table, but I particularly enjoy basketball, ultimate frisbee, volleyball, and swimming. As long as it gets me outside in the sun, I'm pretty happy. Exploring, traveling, and learning new cultures and languages are some of my favorite things, but I am just as happy relaxing at home and reading, writing, or watching TV.
