Heart Valve Replacement Allows Man to Live an Active Life

I was born with Tetralogy of Fallot. My heart condition was corrected when I was 3 years old. Since then, I have lived a full life in different places around the world. But in the back of my mind, I knew I would eventually need follow-up with a heart valve replacement.

In 2021, I landed in Maryland and needed follow-up for developing symptoms. I was very fortunate to quickly get me the tests needed at UMMC, and within about 4 months, I had my valve replaced. Recovery has been tough, but the doctors at UMMC have helped me navigate it. Now I am on the road to recovery, living an active life.
